The American Kestrel (commonly called sparrow hawk) is the smallest and most colorful of North American Falcons. Kestrels typically hunt from a conspicuous perch or hover like miniature helicopters. The flight is buoyant, graceful and rapid, quite like a large swallow.

Although small, they are powerful and wonderfully quick.

Cathy worked with personal computers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Boulder for 25 years. She started out on the hardware side as an electronic technician then went on to organize a PC Support Team to support all PC's at NIST. She has a degree in Information Systems.
